Faith In Action

Beloved in Christ, Grace and peace be upon you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we gather on this blessed Sunday, I want to take a moment to thank you. Your faithfulness, your prayers, and your generosity have brought us this far. Every seed of faith you have sown—whether in time, resources, or service—has contributed to the work of God’s Kingdom, and for that, I give thanks to God for each of you.

Sermon Notes

Our theme today, “The Power of Small Seeds — Faith in Action,” reminds us that God works through the little things. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 13:31-32:“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” This scripture reassures us that no act of faith, however small, goes unnoticed by God. A simple prayer, an encouraging word, a small offering—when given from the heart—becomes something great in His hands.

Acknowledging Your Faithfulness

As we journey through this Season of Great Harvest, I see the faithfulness of God reflected in your lives. Your dedication to this ministry, your willingness to give, and your steadfast prayers are the seeds that are bearing fruit. Every step we have taken as a church has been made possible by your commitment. Thank you for believing in the vision God has given us!

The Power of Small Acts of Faith

Sometimes we may feel that what we have to offer is too small to make a difference. But God assures us that even the smallest seed of faith, when sown in love, will bring a mighty harvest.

  • The widow at Zarephath gave a handful of flour and a little oil to Elijah, and God multiplied it to sustain her household (1 Kings 17:8-16).
  • The boy with five loaves and two fish gave what seemed small, yet in Jesus’ hands, it fed over 5,000 (John 6:9-13).
  • A simple touch of Jesus’ garment by the woman with the issue of blood led to her complete healing (Luke 8:43-48).

What you give—whether in prayer, service, encouragement, or financial support—does not go unnoticed by God. He sees, He blesses, and He multiplies.

Encouragement to Keep Sowing

As we focus on Sowing Seeds of Faith this February, I encourage you:

  • Keep sowing—no matter how small the seed may seem.
  • Keep trusting—God is working even when we don’t see immediate results.
  • Keep walking in faith—for in due season, we shall reap a great harvest (Galatians 6:9).

May the Lord continue to bless and multiply the work of your hands. Let us go forth with confidence, knowing that every little given from the heart is acknowledged and blessed by God.
